Race the Dragon for Charity

Dragon Boat RaceShare A Star have just signed up for a boat at the KM Charity Team’s Dragon Boat Race in Mote Park, Maidstone on 5 July 2015.

We will be looking for a team of up to 33 members* to represent Share A Star and Oakley’s Outings. We will be looking for a small booking fee to cover our entry costs and a team t-shirt (or wet suit!). Above that we will be asking participants to raise sponsorship via our online events pages. We will have a Team page under our Team name “SaSOO” and individuals will be able to have their own giving page off the main page for your individual pleas to friends, family and strangers! Teams of 11 will compete in 3 races over a 250m course so the more members we have the less energy we will need!

*Anyone aged from 14 can take part and Race the Dragon

We will also be booking a stall to promote the charity and our work including the Oakley’s Outings project. So if your partner is racing perhaps you can volunteer to man the stall for an hour…

Look out for further news and how to register your interest in participating in our team.

Please support Sandeep by raising money for our charity to help us to help seriously unwell children. Sandeep’s donation page can be found here – don’t forget to sign the Gift Aid declaration to give the charity 25% extra through the government scheme.
